Faroe Ship and Atlantic Supply Base are operating the offshore base in Runavík.
Faroe Ship has had an office in Runavík for almost forty years and our people there have embraced the new opportunities within the the Faroese offshore industry. The port authorities in Runavík have commenced major devolopments in the port that will ensure that the facilities always meet the increasing demands of the offshore industry.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
HSE is an extremely high priority throughout Faroe Ship. Our aim is clear - zero accidents. In order to reach this goal, Faroe Ship has impelemented an HSE system proven by a leading Norwegian supply base company. Our workers at the supply base have been trained in Aberdeen, Stavanger and Bergen and this had included intensive courses on HSE, crane operations, drilling and oil related cargo handling.

Duty Free Zone
The supply base is a tax free area. No VAT or taxes apply and lower cargo dues are paid on materials transiting the supply base.
Transport
Faroe Ship undertakes materials transport between the Faroe Islands, Norway, Denmark and Scotland utilising its own vessels. We have, when required, chartered in additional tonnage for specific oil related cargoes to supplement our services between these countries. When required Faroe Ship can collect materials from vendors worldwide and deliver direct to the Runavík Supply Base.
